As the Torah world mourns the sudden petirah of Riverdale rosh yeshiva Rav Avrohom Ausband zt”l, he is remembered, among so many things, for his constant yegiah in learning, as seen here, last week, at a wedding, engaged in a spirited Torah conversation with R’ Sruly Bornstein.

In March of 2016, a rebbi brought his students from a modern orthodox yeshiva high school to Riverdale Yeshiva. They learned a bit, davened Mincha and met with the Rosh Yeshiva Rav Ausband zt”l for 20 minutes. He spoke to each boy, asked about their community and shul rov, entertained them, and then mesmerized them with inspirational words.

“You don’t need choshuveh Yidden. You need money.” Rav Avrohom Ausband zt”l sharing a lighter moment with Rav Shalom Ber Sorotzkin.

“We’re all here for a purpose.” The powerful words decades ago at an Agudah Convention of Riverdale rosh yeshiva Rav Avrohom Ausband zt”l, whose levayah is being held this morning.
