The baal tefillah at the Caulfield Bais Medrash in Melbourne, Australia, on Motzoei Shabbos strode up to the amud with vim and vigor, his energy giving onlookers no impression that he is well over 100 years old. R’ Berish Aurbach was there to daven for the amud on his mother’s 103rd yahrtzeit, and nothing was going to stop him. R’ Berish lost his mother, Rivka Aurbach (nee Blass), in Biala, Poland in 1920 when he was just a few months old. And now, 103 years later, her son merited to offer another tefillah as a merit for her neshamah.
