Rav Chaim Yehoshua Schorr, Rosh Yeshivas Chiddushei Harim, visited the Yenukah, Rav Shlomo Yehuda Be’eri, at his home in Rishon Letzion. The two discussed, among other things, being mechazeik young bnei Torah during this difficult period of war, and the Yenukah suggested, “Perhaps emphasize more attachment among friends and ahavas chaveirim, supporting, helping, and honoring each other. This is something that can be very beneficial and advantageous in such a weak generation…”
