IDF soldier Shalom Shtirit marked the 100th day of the war with a message to the world from the Kosel: “As a wounded soldier who lost a leg, I have been lying here for several weeks. And I’m sure that my friends here with me, who have also fought and are still fighting. We all agree that if there is one thing that comforts us, it is seeing the good heart of the people and the unity that’s been created in Klal Yisrael. Seeing all the good that has been created feels like a dream come true. It feels like it was worth losing a leg for this. If the nations unity is an outcome of what we had go through after, it is worth every moment of it. Slowly, as time goes by, we begin to forget. I ask: Let’s all come together. Let’s remember to stay united. Let’s put the grudges behind us and continue to be united!”
