During a Sheva Brachos in the Belzer court, world-renowned badchan Rav Yisroel Stern of London led the crowd in stirring melodies, ancient niggunim composed by exalted tzaddikim of previous generations. Among the songs was a moving rendition of “Shirah chadashah shib’chu ge’ulim,” composed by the legendary Vizhnitzer composer, R’ Yitzchok Ungar z”l, who passed away just last week. The niggun was originally written in honor of the bris of the Belzer Rebbe’s son, Rav Aharon Mordechai Rokach, and was now sung again with emotion and reverence as Belz marked this joyous Sheva Brachos.
