Today marks the final hours of Rav Yitzchok Koledetzky’s fundraising trip on the West Coast. With one million dollars still remaining to provide Yom Tov essentials for the over 1,000 avreichim in his kollelim, every second counts. Yet, when a local Rav mentioned a woman in the hospital enduring immense suffering, Rav Koledetzky didn’t hesitate. He dropped everything, dedicating two of his final, critical hours to sit by her side, sing songs of Pesach, and offer strength. As they left the hospital, his Gabbai remarked, “In the zechus of this kindness, we will surely raise the million dollars now.” Rav Koledetzky turned to him and replied: “This visit itself is a million dollars!”
